The Daily Mail

  • Promising students Taylor Wheeler, 12, and Dayton Gessell, 15, were found dead on November in the basement of a home in South Jordan, Utah.

  • Three guns were found next to the boys' bodies.

  • Distraught families held a candlelight vigil and some 100 people turned out to say goodbye.

  • Police now say the Gessell shot Wheeler before turning the gun on himself, but authorities don't know if it was intentional or a tragic accident.

    1. "Three guns were recovered from the house. Winkler said the guns had been reported as stolen that day. One of the weapons was used in both shootings. Winkler declined to say where the guns were stolen from.
"That's part of the investigative process," he said.
Questions about why the boys had the guns or what they planned to do with them were also still being investigated Friday."

So the guns were stolen that day, though no word yet as to the circumstances of the thefts. And the investigation process continues.

      1. Yeah, stolen. You mean like taken from dad's nightstand or from under his pillow?
