    1. ISB'T? What does that mean? Laci, here's a clue: When you're trying to insult someone else, it's best not to make basic errors in doing it.

  2. Haven't you learned yet that surveys are generally worthless? Especially ones like this that require nothing beyond the attitudes of people surveyed. I do note that you didn't show which state was rated as the craziest--any reason for that?

  3. There are some pretty questionable results in this survey. Alaska has the worst food? Oh yeah, I hate it when my seafood is fresh. Those yokels don't know how to properly age their halibut, salmon, and king crab.

Arizona was rated poorly for scenery? That Grand Canyon is just a big hole in the ground.

I did find it interesting that "best sports fans" and "worst sports fans" was pretty much the same map.

    1. It could be fun, but you picked these two maps out of all of the others because they stuck with your theme that people from MS and AL are knuckle dragging neanderthals. When you post something that looks like you're trying to bolster your prejudice, don't be surprised when it's taken seriously.

    2. The title of the post is "More fun with maps." But, as you pointed out, even in jokes there's often some bit of truth.

    3. I hope you weren't talking to me. I gave it a fun response.

  5. Yeah, AK does have the worst food. TS is merely cherry-picking when he pretends AK residents feast upon King Salmon and Dungeness Crab every day. Fact is, beef and many other proteins are prohibitively expensive and, worse, veggies are something of a luxury.

BTW, salmon and crab prices in AK are no bargain.

AZ, TS would have us believe, is nothing but the Grand Canyon. In reality, though, most residents live nowhere near the Grand Canyon because it's largely an arid wasteland.

And MS and AL aren't comprised of knuckle-dragging neanderthals. Both states would need several thousand years of evolutionary progess to achieve requisite knuckle-dragging skills.

    1. More snobbish nonsense from someone who desperately clings to the delusion that he's better than everyone else.
