Chief Kessler Doubles Down - Diagnosis: Megalomania and Grandiose Victimism

In an Aug. 6, 2013 photo, Gilberton Police Chief Mark Kessler speaks during a news conference at Nahas' office in Frackville, Pa. Kessler says he expects to be fired for posting incendiary videos in which he rants obscenely about the Second Amendment and liberals while spraying machine-gun fire with borough-owned weapons. But if Kessler's worried about losing job, he's not showing it.
"If that's the price I got to pay for standing up for what I believe in, apparently for what a lot of Americans believe in, I'm willing to pay that price," said Kessler, speaking to The Associated Press at a gun range near Gilberton in northeast Pennsylvania.
If anything, his rhetoric has grown even more menacing.
This week, Kessler posted another potty-mouthed video in which he displayed paper targets with scary-looking clowns on them, dubbed "Eric" and "Danny." Those happen to be the first names of Council President Daniel Malloy and Vice President Eric Boxer, whom he has attacked on his website.
Patting an assault rifle, Kessler said, "This is the friend that Eric's going to meet today." After firing a volley at the target, he said, "Eric got a couple rounds to the head."
In an earlier video, Kessler savaged Secretary of State John Kerry as a "traitor" over a U.S.-backed international arms treaty. "COME AND TAKE IT!" he screamed, firing a machine gun.
Kessler said he posted that video and others like it partly out of frustration, and partly in an effort to get people to pay attention to an issue he holds dear: the erosion of Second Amendment and other constitutional rights.
"It was shock and awe," he said. "I could have went out there and did a nice video ... and nobody would've gave it a second look."
Now that he's achieved a measure of notoriety for his obscenity-filled rants against government tyranny and people he calls "libtards," Kessler said he worries the federal government will try to silence him. He predicted chaos if that happens.
"God help them if something should happen to me," he said. "I believe that could spark the next American Revolution."
Kessler insisted he's "not calling for anybody to take up arms against our government."
But he also warned the government would be in a fight if it ever tried to take away his guns.
"I would resist," he said. "I'd fight for freedom, and if it cost me my life, then so be it."

  1. Reality check--he will probably lose his job due to his not being certified and keeping up with his Act 120 requirements. those are the legal requirements necessary to be a police officer in Pennsylvania.

Next--how long do you think you would have a job if you abused your bosses?

I know ssgmarkr said that "settling" a case doesn't mane he fucked up, but he arrested a Gilberton Councilmember without a warrant for a misdemeanour, which is a bad arrest. Next, he puts up a video where he shoots his bosses in effigy while he's on suspension.

Kessler can call it what he wants, but Gilberton Borough is looking at his conduct to make sure they have a solid basis for firing him for cause.

We can also add his actions causing people in the community to worry about him.

And Kessler is really helping the matter of having cause to fire him by shooting his mouth off.

    Fuck Molon Labe.

It's a serious case of Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

    1. Captain Picard answered that question by taking an arrow to the chest. But let's remember that these are the same watchers that you trust to take away our guns.

  2. More diagnosis without a license, Mikeb?

  3. So Mike, how long have you had these NRA attack dogs attacking EVERY post you write? I wonder how much they get paid by the NRA to relentlessly attack you? Talk about lying sock puppets, these losers talk in unison no matter how looney they sound. They foam at the mouth drooling their hate and hypocrisy. EXACTLY the kind of loons who should not have guns.

    1. LOL, so, now you're going to jump on that false accusation with Jim too, huh?

    2. Which false accusations are those, T.? Relentlessly attacking every post I make, sounds pretty accurate to me. "They foam at the mouth drooling their hate and hypocrisy." That's pretty good too.

    3. Well, I was talking about the NRA paid shill part, but if you want to talk about the others, I don't attack you on every post, and neither does Greg. We discuss the ones that interest us. As for the mouth foaming, hate, and hypocrisy, I've expressed loathing for E.N. and Kevin, but otherwise it's mostly been strong dislike, and I think I've been pretty consistent in my positions. You may not like them, but hypocrisy?

    4. Steve, care to back up your comment with even one fact? Most of what you said was opinion only, so you're safe there, but claiming that I'm paid by the NRA is a claim of fact. It is false.

Mikeb, you're forgetting the positions that you've taken that I've agreed with? And how about your musical posts, most of which I ignore?

    5. You say Jim is lying about being a permit holder just because he does not subscribe to some of your loony ideas of when and where to carry. I'd say that is a false accusation based on false facts. OK for you but nobody else? You guys sure give every indication that you are NRA mouth pieces, you have the talking points down and are relentless against Mike.

    6. Steve, I've said that I suspect he's making that up. I don't know it for sure. He may have a permit. I have settled on the idea that he's a concern troll, regardless of his gun owning/permit having status. He tried discussing things rationally for a short time but then started flinging wild accusations and making comments only calculated to stir the pot.

Anyone that does that makes me suspect them of being a troll. Maybe it takes one to know one. Look at the comments I sometimes make to Jade and Laci--I'll admit to being a troll where they're involved, but when Mike posts or posts a serious comment to one of their posts, I try to give serious responses.

As for all of this NRA stuff, I can't know for sure about Greg since I don't know him personally, but I don't see anything that makes me think he works for them. As for me, I'm just here for the fun of it and to try to persuade anyone I can. I'm not a member of any pro-gun groups at the moment. The NRA are effective, but sometimes are hypocrites and sometimes are compromisers. GOA are too small and too much Chicken Littles.

    7. And Steve, you're a mouth piece for the Brady Bunch and on the payroll of the Joyce Foundation. O.K., so we've all accused each other of wild sins.

I'm relentless against Mikeb because he's working to violate my rights and the rights of others. Jim may be exactly what he claims to be, but since he subscribes to the idea that you have to show need to be worthy of a carry license, he should explain to us what his need happens to be. He says that he doesn't carry in lots of locations.

But if the NRA wants to hire me, I'll be glad to work for them. The organization isn't perfect, but it's doing a lot of good work, and I support it's goals. Working for the NRA would be like teaching--getting paid to do what I love to do.

    8. Tn,
You call him a liar and a sock puppet and you wonder why his attitude has changed against you. Get a clue!

      Greg,
I haven't given any sign, or attitude that I'm a mouth piece for the Brady Bunch.
You have given plenty of evidence and attitude that you are working for the NRA, and admit you would love to work for the NRA. It's certainly more plausible that you work for the NRA, than I work for the Brady Bunch.

    9. Steve, I don't know if you work for the named organizations or not. You present the gun control line here, so by your reasoning, you must be an employee of theirs. I do know that some other gun control freaks who visit here are on their payrolls.

But see, I care about evidence, and with you, I have none. You speak nonsense, but you likely have come to it honestly. I'm just pointing out to you that calling me an NRA employee, while not an insult, is wrong factually.

    10. Steve, these guys can't deal with the fact that Jim is more representative of gun owners and concealed carry permit holders than they are. They are good representatives of the lunatic fringe. The problem is, through repetition of their highly exaggerated arguments they have an impact. Many wishy-washy gun owners and luke-warm gun-rights supporters find their ways attractive.

    11. Well, you phrased it poorly, Mikeb, but I'll give you credit for realizing the truth. Our side appeals to Americans.

    12. The Brady Bunch are gun controllers?
You really don't care how dumb you sound as long as you get that NRA viewpoint out.

      Delete
    13. Steve, please, stop being silly. Are you seriously trying to say that the Brady Bunch supports gun rights or that said organization doesn't actively push to violate the gun rights of Americans?

And when it comes to the "NRA viewpoint," on this subject, I don't know what that civil rights organization's position is. I'd like to think the NRA agrees with me, but who knows?

  4. Megalomania AND grandiose victimism? We haven't seen this combo since the persecution of Lucifer of Light.

  5. Sure, play the victim card. Like so many nutballs before him, he doesn't see how all his extreme behavior could lead to his termination. Never mind that he has openly threatened lawmakers, including his bosses, by firing full-auto assault weapons at symbolic images of them, not to mention his other crimes and embarrassments in the past (organizing a militia group against PA law, being involved in a bar fight in which he shot himself then conveniently lost his gun, promising to go against his oath of office if gun laws are enacted, and the false-imprisonment and strip-searching of a council member after a noise complaint). Yeah, a real "revolution" leader there, Kessler. Keep it up.

My second blog post on this loser: http://newtrajectory.blogspot.com/2013/08/police-chief-mark-kessler-doubles-down.html

  6. Of course, this all begins to sound as if he knew it was coming from the time the ACLU case was settled and he's been grandstanding it to make himself into some kind of "Second Amendment hero". Of course, that is a strategy is seriously backfiring on him.
