  1. Again, DG proves what an idiot & fool she is. Here she says, nationwide there were 5 schools with shooting during all of 2012, yet at her silly blog you'd think every school in the country was under siege by the NRA.

    She simply is not credible.

  2. Let's also note that both categories typically are gun-free zones.

  3. Mike Huckabee is right about God being removed from our schools. I remember saying a prayer in school when I was a kid. And this was in SoCal. We didn't have school shootings back then. Hell, kids barely say the Pledge of Allegiance anymore, or if they do, they remove "under God" from the pledge because one atheist parent has a fit, so the rest of the class or school has to go along so as not to hurt their "feelings."

Screw them...their kid can stand outside the classroom while the rest of the kids say the pledge the way it was intended.

    1. But which of the many gods should school children be made to pray to? Imagine how you'd regard a requirement that they pray to Allah several times during the day.

    2. G., Are you saying there are school shootings now BECAUSE God has been removed? That's what Huckabee says. Do you agree?

    3. That's pretty much what I'm saying. It doesn't matter which God you pray to. Christians, Jews and Muslims supposedly believe in the same God of Abraham. We had a morning prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. If you didn't want to pray, you just bowed your head for a few moments of silence. The vast majority of students at my school were of Judeo-Christian heritage.

Most of my schooling was back in the sixties when gun control was much less stringent than it is today. We didn't have school shootings back then. We also didn't have "gun free" zones back then either. Oh, and schools didn't look like prisons like they do now. How is that working out?

    4. The problem with schools today isn't the lack of God or even the gun-free zone status. It's the fact that we've turned schools into mass-production factories. Students are shipped in from all over, rather than walking a couple of blocks from their home, they're packaged with thousands of others, they're given no meaningful discipline, and they're educated at the level of the lowest person in the class, since sorting by ability would be politically incorrect.

    5. Greg, I'm afraid Mike Huckabee and Mr. G. Guy feel it's the absence of god. You can get off your soap box now.

    6. The soapbox being one of the fundamental defenses of liberty, I'll keep mine, thanks.

  4. The U.S. has removed the State from Schools?

  5. "I think so... That means god came down and stopped the bullets?"

"That's right god stopped those mother-f*cking bullets!"

Notably Thomas a Beckett was unkillable while he was in church many years ago. And can you imagine there were no guns (well not in England!) yet he was killed!!!!
