  1. That's exactly how my side sees yours. You have no thoughts, only vague feelings that amount to a flash in the pan.

  2. The difference is that Laci can cogently reason, and you can't.

    1. The numbers prove that guns make us more at risk, and that we have - through our failed gun laws and gun culture - more deaths and injuries and gun violent crime than other countries that are comparable to the U.S.

    2. We've discussed numbers on many occasions, but what you can't explain is how those numbers demand anything. Numbers, by themselves, say nothing about what we should do.

That's an example of how I can analyze reasoning and sort out what's a fact and what's a value.

    3. That's why he spends all of his time reading cartoons. E.N. too, but I repeat myself.

    4. Dog gone: “…we have - through our failed gun laws and gun culture - more deaths and injuries and gun violent crime than other countries that are comparable to the U.S.”

You talk about cogent reasoning, but you display simplistic reasoning. You don’t do dynamic analysis and look at if changes in gun laws change violence and death, you are selective in your comparisons by using subjective words like “comparable”, and you use the metric of “gun violent crime” which is distantly un-cogent reasoning. Using your reasoning, the USA has orders of magnitude more DGUs than the same countries you like to compare us to AND orders of magnitude more people who are able to get permits to protect themselves from stalkers (even if it doesn’t lead to a DGU). So where does that leave us?

      Cogently reason, indeed…

  3. Pooch sure does like and relate to cartoon characters. That Batman story was funny, too. Yep, Pooch is a real deep thinker.

  4. I think the cartoon accurately illustrates the gun-rights attitude. You guys blindly support gun rights regardless of common sense or statistics.

    1. Common sense is the term people use when their shovelling bullshit. With regard to statistics or data in general, we've discussed those on many occasions. You're the one with a distorted view of what the numbers mean.

  5. Yes that sums up my position anyway.

  6. Question for my fellow gun people: That's a five-shot cylinder that opens to the right. Other than Charter Arms, are there any double-action revolvers made that way these days?
